Hot, Hot, Hot: Thousands of Jobs in Silicon Valley

April 27th, 2011

If you’ve been watching the headlines lately, you’ve probably seen that Silicon Valley is sizzling with opportunity. Here’s a quick run down of who’s hiring:

  • Dell is one of the established tech companies to hire big. They’ll open their first research center Silicon Valley later this year to focus on cloud computing, storage and networking technology, and have openly stated interest in hiring currently employed tech employees. In five years, they plan to have 1,550 employees at the center. We see 70+ job postings for Dell in the Bay Area right now, 30 of em have an estimated salary of $100K or above. Check ‘em out.
  • If you don’t want to wait for a job, check out SalesForce.com – they’ve got over 750 jobs in the Bay Area alone – over 500 of which have an estimated salary of $70K
  • And if you like chocolate and video games….fresh from an Intel cash infusion of $12M, Digital Chocolate is hiring game developers for San Mateo, Helsinki, Bangalore and Madrid. The company won the iPad Apps download race last year, we bet they’ll be on a stint for more.
  • If no taste for video games, but you thirst to work at a Vineyard instead, check out the openings at E. & J. Gallo, we see over 60 jobs – many of which will take you far away from a cubicle and into a vineyard.

That’s what we see in the Bay Area, drop us a note and tell us what you see!
