March 24th, 2011

The New York Medical College has landed $3.25 M in funding at New York Medical College; the funding will be used to stimulate creation of jobs and innovating business and industry opportunities. Senator Andrea Stewart Cousins hailed the funding as a stimulus to “strengthen the future of our local economy” in Westchester County.

Funding is provided by the New York State Senate GEN*NY*SIS program, which helps public, not-for-profit and private academic research institutions. The program is designed to establish New York as a leader in high-tech and biotechnology-related research.

Westchester County is home to the largest concentration of biotechnology companies in New York State.
