The Wells Fargo Application Process

For the purposes of this application guide, we applied for a job as a teller. Your experience may vary depending on the position that you're applying for.

Before you can begin the Wells Fargo application, you will need to create an account on their hiring site. Creating an account will only take a minute of your time -- you only need to provide your email address and an account password.

At this point in the application, you will need to provide some basic personal information including your name, home address, phone number, scheduling preferences, work history, education, and licenses (if applicable). You will also have the opportunity to upload your resume. You should definitely take advantage of this feature, as it will be very hard for Wells Fargo to decide if they should bring you in for an interview without it.

With your personal information submitted and your resume uploaded, you will need to take a brief questionnaire. This questionnaire is very brief, and is designed only to learn more about you and your work history. For example, you will be asked questions about your eligibility to return to previous employers, your eligibility to work in the United States, and other basic questions. Just make sure that you read each question very carefully before you respond, as the wording can sometimes be awkward.

Background check

During the application process, you will need to consent to a pre-employment background check. Any employment offer that you receive will be contingent upon passing this background check.

How to Get Updates on Your Wells Fargo Application

Wells Fargo does not provide automatic application updates at this time. If you have already applied for a job and would like to know if you're still being considered, you will need to contact the company directly.
