Job Summary

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs the following procedures: Electroencephalogram (EEG); assist Physician with Electromyogram/perform Nerve Conduction Study (EMG/NCS); Electronystagmography grams (ENG); Visual Fields; Assist the Neurology Coordinator and Registered Technologist with training of new Technologists and Technologist Trainees; Performs related duties; Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Minimum

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalency test.

Associate Degree from accredited school for Electroneuro diagnostic Technologists preferred but not required.

Spelling, basic knowledge of anatomy (muscles, nerves, vestibular system, visual system); average mathematical skills; basic knowledge of electronics and instrumentation.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years recent experience conducting Electroencephalograms required.

Recent experience in EMG and ENG in addition to EEG preferred but not required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Descriptor 3: Broad Range of Administrative or Technical Skills.

Has broad, fairly detailed level of knowledge of Electroneuro diagnostics.

Gathers, organizes, verifies, composes and/or analyses data in the completion of several defined, multi-step diagnostic procedures.

Produces final output within established departmental standards.

Operates complicated diagnostic medical equipment.

Hours

Hours per pay period: 80

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Every 4th weekend call coverage.
