Position Overview

As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the warehouse aisles and loading areas. This position is essential to maintaining a safe environment for team members and sanitary conditions of product that is stored.

Responsibilities

* Interview, hire, and train employees

* Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

* Directly supervise sanitation activities to ensure compliance to Sanitation Procedures and regulatory requirements (USDA/FDA) within the facility.

* Ensure that all personnel in his/her area of responsibility are provided a safe working environment and safety procedures and guidelines are being followed.

* Ensure continuity between shifts by documenting cleaning actions and noting areas requiring additional care or monitoring.

* Lead all 6S efforts (Training, implementation, documentation, and audits) to achieve optimum results.

* Accountable in providing facility leadership on activities to insure compliance to all FDA, State, local, customer and third party audit requirements.

* Use effective communication, leadership skills and experience to work in a team environment with associates with effective planning and priority setting.

* Perform daily inspections and evaluations of cleaning conducted by sanitation team.

* Train and implement the use of the corporate food safety management system that includes documentation, control and adherence to all appropriate sanctioning regulatory concerns including FDA and customer driven requirements.

* Assure completion of all sanitation activities to assure corporate compliance.

* Maintain cleaning inventory by checking stock level and anticipating cleaning equipment replacement.

* Ensure that all regulatory programs are implemented, documented, and properly executed and verified.

* Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss quality and sanitation improvements.

* Maintain knowledge of the Sanitation Program and Operation to assist management in problem resolution.

* Assist in establishing goals and timetables to meet project guidelines.

* Evaluate and recommend revisions to internal processes and policies to reduce cost and increase efficiency.

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Minimum of two years' relevant experience
