The Warehouse Manager has overall responsibility for the day-to-day activities of a warehouse facility over 100,000 sq. ft. The position oversees all operations related to receiving material, material storage, kitting operations, movement of material to our manufacturing lines; inventory control; facility maintenance, and employee engagement. This position requires working with internal and external customers. The Warehouse Manager has site responsibility of receipt, inspection, storage, and accountability of Government Furnished Material (GFM) as well. The Warehouse Manager will work with auditors, shipping companies, Bargaining Unit leadership, cross-functional groups in order to ensure material flow is constant. The Warehouse Manager ensures that workplace health, safety requirements, training, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are accurate and up to date. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the security of the building and stock. The Manager maintains computerized administration systems and teaches, coaches, a working staff in order to support material flow. This person should have a working knowledge of government required documents, FAR and DFAR requirements, and should be a proponent of Continuous Improvement processes and LEAN Management in order to be successful.
