Under the general supervision of the Director-Organizational Learning and Development, leads and directs the education process for System-wide clinical education, managing all aspects of clinical education and related training, including programming, resources and community coordination. Coordinates the efforts of education staff in assessing educational needs, planning, developing and implementing appropriate education and training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Leads the System-wide clinical education team and process, including planning and evaluation for clinical education curriculum including clinical information technology training.
2 Functions as an educational consultant to departments, service lines or entities for System-wide or entity-wide initiatives regarding needs relating to clinical education and related programs.
3 Oversees policies and procedures that ensure American Heart Association standards are met and appropriate records are maintained for all life support programs.
4 Plans adequate training opportunities and staffing resources for System-wide staff to maintain required clinical education.
5 Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with System leaders to plan and evaluate clinical education and related resources.
6 Contributes to the enhancement of organizational, team and individual performance through the appropriate and measurable evaluation of education interventions.
7 Maintains appropriate instructor credentialing for courses taught (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS).
8 Coordinates the use of appropriate education resources for identified education needs, including the development of self-learning/computer-based training.
9 Contributes to the development and maintenance of competencies for positions within the System.
Registration and current RN license in PA
Strong ability to develop relationships with nursing and clinical leadership
Demonstrated ability to strategically plan for future initiatives
7-10 years working in a position of leadership within clinical education
Demonstrated experience within department talent management. Promoting growth and development of team
