Position Summary

CVS Health, a Fortune 7 company, has an outstanding opportunity for a Pharmacy Operations - Senior Advisor ePrescrbing.

ePrescribing is now the primary method of prescription intake at CVS Retail and represents 65% of all new prescriptions. Not only does this intake mechanism improve initial medication adherence rates, it also allows the company to realize substantial workflow efficiencies over non-electronic intake methods. The Pharmacy Operations Senior Advisor ePrescrbing will support the implementation of new industry e prescribing standards at CVS Retail. In this role you will have the opportunity to influence retail pharmacy system design and to advance our retail pharmacy operations and workflow model. You will develop a deep understanding of ePrescribing industry standards, ePrescribing operations and retail pharmacy system ePrescribing functionality. New standards and best practices for ePrescribing allow for exchange of additional patient, drug and clinical information, and as such, you will work cross-functionally with a wide range of internal business teams to ensure that the standards are implemented to align with the strategic interests of the various impacted business units. Through this engagement, you will develop working relationships with these various retail pharmacy business units and gain broad exposure to retail pharmacy operations and strategy. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to gain exposure to many critical areas of the retail pharmacy business, and to partake in developing and implementing new pharmacy system ePrescribing capabilities that will advance our retail pharmacy service model.

Some highlights of this role include:

* Develop a detailed understanding of industry standards for electronic prescription transmission, workflow and best practices.

* Assist the organization in valuating new ePrescription solution elements within the new ePrescription standard framework.

* Contribute to all phases of the retail pharmacy IT project lifecycle including requirements, design, testing / usability / UAT, training development, deployment and operations change management.

* Manage regular engagements with impacted business groups. Works with internal business teams to ensure that pharmacy system design and operational frameworks align with their needs and strategic objectives.

* Assist in developing and executing robust solution testing frameworks to ensure high-quality pharmacy system deployments.

* Engage the retail e prescribing network provider to understand and facilitate completion of certification requirements.

* Work with retail operations and corporate training teams to develop training strategies and training materials, and executes communication and training cascades to initiate change management efforts.

* Work with day to day operations teams to optimize post-deployment operations frameworks and to adjust help desk and change management strategies based on findings.

* Work with internal e prescribing operations team and external network system providers to optimize electronic health information exchange and drive compliance with e prescribing standards.

* Partake in assessments of prescriber system / EHR implementation quality, and works with leadership to inform external engagement strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

* Clinical experience

* Skilled communicator and collaborator with demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders; leadership and team building experience is a plus.

* Experience with challenging or changing operational frameworks to fulfill business objectives.

* Intellectual curiosity and motivation to master detailed subject matter in multiple areas within the retail pharmacy business.

* Ability to ideate and implement high-impact operational changes that deliver value.

* Exposure to the retail pharmacy IT project lifecycle is a plus.

* Retail pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy leadership experience is a plus.

* Experience and knowledge of the principles of quality control and assurance and quantitative quality detection mechanisms is a plus.

* Experience in electronic health information exchange is a plus.

Required Qualifications

* 3 or more years of Operational Processes Innovation, Product Development, or related experience

* 3 or more years of experience identifying and defining business problems and issues, and developing strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis and/or measure success

* At least 1 year of experience managing a team, directly or indirectly

* At least 1 year of experience assessing complex processes to identify areas for improvement for business impact

* 5 or more years of demonstrated organizational skills (e.g. project management experience or managing cross-team/department initiatives with demonstrated success)

* 2 or more years of experience assessing and building a business case to identify areas of opportunities for the business and/or 3+ years of retail field experience
