Overview

Under the immediate supervision of the Materials Manager, is responsible for assigned tasks in the receiving, storage, supply and distribution of materials throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities

Receiving

* Responsible for the Receiving Dock functions including receiving purchased medical products and equipment.

* Matching the physical product against the packing slip.

* Matching the packing slip against the system Purchase Order.

* Receiving the item in the system.

* Primary signer for deliveries (FedEx, UPS, etc.).

Stock Items Storeroom

* Maintaining Par levels.

* Inventorying stock items on a daily basis.

* Reporting items that have fallen below or are exceeding establish Par levels.

* Restocking shelves with daily deliveries.

* Assists personnel who come into Materials Management looking for stock items in of an immediate nature.

Inventory

* Inventory of store areas in various department that require product from our stock inventory on a daily basis.

* Maintains an organized inventory count on a daily basis.

* Checks for items on shelf that are nearing or have exceeded their expiration date.

* Makes suggestions to increase or decrease a Par count on a particular item.

* Performs a Zero Inventory physical count at the end of the hospitals fiscal year.

General Support

* Delivering goods to stock and non-stock locations.

* Returning unwanted or outdated products to Materials Management for logging and disposal.

* Printing Forms as required.

* Answering general questions and providing products for walk-in requests.

* Assisting with Housekeeping Storeroom deliveries.
