As an Activity Assistant at the Good Samaritan Society, your role is to help build and assess our resident activity schedule, creating fun, healthy and safe programming and events. If you have an appreciation for helping others, then we have an opportunity to use your experience as an Activity Assistant.
What's in it for you: You will work in a faith-based organization with daily devotions and prayer before meetings (if you choose to participate). And you'll be part of a family, offering love and compassion to residents as part of a dedicated and diverse care team. Just ask our employees - it's what they love most about their role at the Society. That, and our opportunities for advancement.
You're a good fit if: You have a good work ethic, are a great communicator and know how to creatively engage residents who may experience physical or cognitive limitations.
What you'll do: You'll be an advocate for engaging residents with healthy, entertaining events. You will plan, lead and assess all programming - both within our locations and, on occasion, outside of it. You'll assist in general resident care, including ensuring proper dress and attire, escorting residents and helping with dining experiences. You'll follow and document all necessary federal guidelines regarding supervising residents on outings and guaranteeing food safety, as well as maintaining a safe physical environment.
You're qualified for this position if: You meet all qualifications outlined below.
Throughout our organization, we aim to fulfill the most basic of human needs: to feel loved, valued and at peace. Are you ready to join our team?
