Senior level technology expert for the application business analysis, development and support teams. Provides technical expertise for IT teams supporting the line of business. Works with line of business to document requirements, and design solutions to meet business needs. Collaborates with software vendors on design solutions and requirements. Will also assist the application support team in troubleshooting level 3 issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and technical leadership for business analyst, development and application support teams.
  • Analyze and document business requirements for new business requests and projects.
  • Maintain an expert knowledge of business operations, process and applications.
  • Collaborate with software vendors on design solutions.
  • Develop effective technology solutions based on defined requirements, and enhance deep business domain expertise, as needed.
  • Work with project teams, lines of business and other IT resources to analyze and develop technology solutions to satisfy business needs.
  • Instruct, direct and review the work of less experienced Systems Analysts and Business Analysts
  • Serve as project leaders for medium-sized systems projects.
  • Develop, document and revise flowcharts of system design and application process flow.
  • Coordinate the installation of application enhancements/releases of new and upgraded applications.
  • Research and debug complex technical problems.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of experience or equivalent proficiency in application analysis and design.
  • High proficiency with the following Information Technologies:
  • Information security best practices
  • IT performance/scalability principles
  • Relational database technologies
  • Principles of a service oriented architecture
  • Distributed, Web, Mainframe, and networking technologies
  • Design tools and techniques
  • Application development methodologies
  • Technology testing and change implementation best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Ability to direct and train other team associates.

Preferred Skills:

  • Mobile application capabilities and design
  • IVR (Integrated Voice Response) Technologies capabilities and design
  • Familiarity with ALM, or other tools used for requirements gathering and test case execution and planning.
  • An understanding of technology and current trends
  • An understanding of .Net and Microsoft SQL technologies
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data.
  • Experienced in test planning, test case development and execution.
  • PMP Certification
  • IIBA or PMI Business Analysis Certification
  • Six Sigma certifications
