The Hartford isseeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of a Guidewire PolicyCenter Integration Business Analyst to support theBusiness Analysis function within the Commercial Lines Portfolio ofapplications and capital invest projects. This role will provide currentstate analysis, elicit business enhancement needs, document specificationchanges to the applications, conduct analytics towards optimal solutions andcreate integration mappings between PolicyCenter and impacting systems. In addition, the incumbent will assist with driving strategic decisions andproviding leadership/mentoring to other BA's, support the business inevaluating options, support the development team in understanding the changesneeded and support QA with creating test materials and defectresolution.

Responsibilities:

The idealcandidate will lead and/or participate in the entire Software DevelopmentLifecycle process specific to Commercial Lines IT organization. Candidateshould possess technical as well as functional knowledge and skills with anability to work on the highest technical complexity projects. Candidateshould have proven proficiency with:

* Highdegree of understanding and proficiency with application integration workincluding mapping and translation of data

* Leadresponsibility in instructing, assigning, directing and checking the work ofbusiness Analysts within their section/department

* Actas liaison and consultant between the business and IT providing thoughtleadership

* Identifybest practices and assist with elevating performance of team

* Mentorsteam members to drive awareness of new approaches

* Organizeand synthesize information provided by stakeholders in order to enable theproject team to implement a solution that meets those needs and identifiesopportunities for improvement

* Structureand drive working and informational sessions that promote collaboration,achieve synergy, and achieve desired outcomes

* Clearlygive and receive information, requirements and specifications (facts, ideas,perspectives) through verbal and written methods

* Effectivelyinterface with others and develop healthy, productive work interactions

* Performrequirements planning and monitoring and effective elicitation and meetingfacilitation

Additionalresponsibilities include:

* Leading,coaching, and mentoring other Integration and Functional BAs in theorganization.

* ChangeManagement activities supporting key Business and IT Stakeholders.

* Developingand enhancing relationships with business partners and vendor partners. Demonstrating increased knowledge of business organizations, their processesand the use of applications.

* Effectivecommunications with project teammates and stakeholders using timely andaccurate information through written and oral communication or formalpresentations.

* Identifyingand recommending best practices and continuous improvement ideas related to theBA practice. Issue and Risk assessment. Demonstrates ownership incommunication of issues/risks and contributes to risk mitigation.

* Issueescalation and risk assessment

* Providingestimates for assigned work. Demonstrating sound understanding and applicationof Change Control processes to manage project scope to project budget.

* Providingconsulting input and review of artifacts for Testing Phases, per the TestApproach of the project.

* Consultingin business planning sessions with business partners and IT

* 10 years of Business Analysis, including Integration / System Analysis, andApplication Development Life Cycle diverse work experience in IT, or anequivalent combination of education and work experience is desirable. 5 years may be acceptable depending on experiences. Strong Property Casualtyexperience desired, however similar experience in Insurance industry a would beacceptable

* Understandingof the Commercial Markets business and application suite is desired

* GuidewirePolicyCenter experience a plus

* Experiencein a technical Business Analyst role, following the Software DevelopmentLifecycle with demonstrated proficiency at technical requirements planning andmonitoring, requirements elicitation, technical requirements analytics anddocumentation, and providing support from solution design, test phases,implementation through to post-implementation.

* Self-motivatedand results-oriented with the ability to work in a team environment andindependently.

* Excellentorganizational and time management skills with the ability to adjust tochanging priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Experiencewith developing estimates and prioritizing deliverables.

* Strongwritten and oral communication skill with the ability to communicate technicalinformation to non-technical audience. Experienced facilitator with strongpresentation skills.

* Abilityto effectively interact with all levels of the organization (e.g. entry levelend-user through to Senior Management) and demonstrate strong leadershipskills.

* Strategicthinking skills. Ability to provide options and assess solutions, lookingat the business holistically.

* Understandingof current and emerging IT products, services, processes and methodologies.

* Experienceworking in a multi-sourced, offshore delivery centers and shared servicesenvironment is a plus.

* Experiencerequired in data mapping and translation including XML, XSD, xPath and WSDL
