Sr. Software Engineer

Our client in Wilsonville, OR has an immediate opening for a Sr. Software Engineer for a Long Term contract assignment.

Where: Wilsonville, OR

Contract Duration: Long Term

Compensation: $53.66 - sorry, no PTO or holiday pay.

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Essential job functions:

* Responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of computer software for systems supporting with Product Development

* Support the development of software requirements and software project plans, including schedule dependencies, deliverables and target dates.

* Write technical specifications for product designs

* Responsible for integration and validation of product designs with other project team members.

* Supports software QA/test methodologies.

* The qualified candidate will have experience developing products or test systems for users that have little understanding of the product "under the hood", using C#/C with .NET API and providing an easy-to-use GUI.

Additional Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

A minimum of 8 plus years of experience in the following areas:

* Strong C# skills

* Strong object oriented design and programming skills

* Experience developing Windows applications for PC's

* Experience with .NET C# and C /CLI

* Experience with unmanaged C code

* Experience with WinForms or WPF

* Experience with multi-threaded applications

* Experience with writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices (unit testing, continuous integration and deployment, automation, design patterns, refactoring etc.)

* Experience working with and upgrading legacy code

* Strong debugging skills

* Passionate about continuous improvement

Other qualities that would be valuable:

* Familiar with ClearCase source control systems

* Familiarity with motion control systems

* Familiar with application interfaces to embedded systems or hardware.

Minimum education and work experience required:

* Bachelors or Master's degree in a related technical field or related discipline.

* 8 years of experience in software product or test system development, 5 years with Master degree.
