Under the general direction of the Child Development Director, the School Age Site Coordinator I is responsible for supervising the Interns and site assistants in implementing and evaluating the daily operations of One School Age Care program. The character development traits of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility will be evident and demonstrated through interactions with staff, members, volunteers and other contacts. Specific quantitative and qualitative criteria will be defined which will serve as measures of performance. Other responsibilities include:

Plans and implements curriculum within the established guidelines.

Plans and implements curriculum within the established guidelines.

Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans.

Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities.

Acquaint children with rules, activities, and daily schedules.

Maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents. Engages parents as volunteers.

Maintains program site and equipment.

Maintains required program records.

RequirementsTo meet licensing requirements, the School Age Coordinator must be at least 20 years of age and must meet the following qualification:

A. Successful completion of at least 12 college or university credits in recreation, elementary education, school-age care, or school-age administration and 12 months of experience working with children kindergarten through sixth grade in a group setting.

B. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens and Sexual Harassment training within 30 days of hire date.

C. Ability to plan, organize and implement program activities.

D. Ability to provide for the physical and emotional needs of children ages 5 to 14 years old.Apply On-lineSend This Job to a Friend
