Project Manager

State of Virginia Williamsburg, VA
Provide Project Management for the development and implementation of new construction as well as facilities alteration and renovation projects for William & Mary. Typical projects include General Fund funded capital projects, Maintenance Reserve funded projects, smaller departmental projects. The primary focus of this position will be the University's new construction, alteration and renovation projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor Degree in engineering, architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience managing the design and construction of projects up to $25 million range. Comprehensive knowledge of project planning and development, contract experience in integrated project delivery. The ability to coordinate the development of project scopes/programs and to develop realistic project budgets and schedules. Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize, delegate, and supervise work. Demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of constituencies and using strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Professional engineer and/or architect registration or equivalent design/construction experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of the Commonwealth of Virginia Capital Outlay policies and procedures. Registration as an architect or professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia or certification as a project management professional. Experience with the State of Virginia Capital Outlay design and construction process and pooled funding process.
