Shuttle Driver - Part Time

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Must possess a current, valid CDL license; Group C, B, or A with Passenger Endorsement. Must be at least 21 years of age with a driving record free of any alcohol or drug related convictions within the last 10 years and may not have more than 6 points in moving violations in the last 24 months. Driver's license may not have been revoked at any time in the last 36 months.

SUMMARY

Transporting our guests, employees, and other designated persons safely to their destination with a high degree of emphasis on customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Safely transport guests to and from designated hotels or properties, employees, and other designated person(s) to their requested destination.

Assist passenger(s) when entering or exiting vehicle as necessary

Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times

Knowledge of major area attractions and tourism needs in order to efficiently describe the location, including physical location and relative characteristics of information

Routinely perform inspection of shuttle bus for mechanical, safety, or equipment problems

Keep shuttle bus clean of debris and neat in appearance

Record all pertinent data on appropriate forms

Be familiar with all rules, regulations and policies pertaining to your employment and to the performance of your assigned duties

Perform and adhere to proper procedures for signing keys and shuttle busses in and out for each shift

Keep informed of all events by reading department notebooks and bulletin boards on a daily basis

Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must pass DOT Physical Exam. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position. Must be informative and deal effectively with guests and employees while being friendly at all times.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

In most cases, 14-25 passenger shuttle buses and once in awhile smaller passenger vehicles.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Requires sitting for long periods of time while working alone in an enclosed vehicle. Required to have corrected normal range of hearing and sight.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines. Must be able to communicate effectively and handle multiple calls on communication radios.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able and willing to work in or near a crowded, loud smoking environment. May be required to work in a confined space. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA. Driving in seasonal conditions and changes. We operate in all types of weather. Most work is performed in 14-25 passenger shuttle buses.

COMMENTS

Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
