The Part Time Assistant Admissions Officer is the front line college representative, responsible for the registration of new and/or returning students and the processing of in person, by phone, and/or mail-in admission/registration requests. This position is responsible for answering general questions pertaining to Wharton County Junior College (WCJC), and specific questions relating to admission/registration. In addition, the position processes drops, adds, withdrawals, and transcript requests.

Requirements:This position requires a high school diploma or GED and three years of full time current related work experience. This position requires excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills. The person in this position must be able to provide continuous courteous customer service to student, staff, and administration and must meet mutually agreed-upon objectives within a specified time frame. A criminal background check is required.
