We are seeking a candidate who will perform administrative functions that support the Investigation Recovery Unit within Adams County Human Services and provide excellent client customer service to the citizens of Adams County. This position will create and support strong interpersonal relationships within Investigation and Recovery, as well as associates from other departments in order to maintain a spirit of teamwork.

Examples of Important and Essential Duties

* Provide excellent customer service to all those you come in contact with on a daily basis.

* Provide administrative support for the Investigation and Recovery Unit.

* Maintain numerous computer statistical databases in order to provide management with necessary reports.

* Manage customer service front desk; provide direct client contact; accept payments and answer phones.

* Perform other related duties and responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Ability to operate a personal computer, copy/fax machine, and complex telephone system.

* Ability to learn numerous computer databases.

* Ability to effectively interpret and communicate directives and procedures.

* Ability to follow oral and written instructions, procedures, and regulations.

* Ability to prepare and maintain detailed records and files.

* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

* Ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.


* Experience: Three (3) years of related experience.

* Education and Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

* License or Certificate: None.

* Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.

* Other: Bilingual applicants who possess the ability to read, write, and speak English/Spanish are preferred.
