Overview

The Manager, Agility Enablement leads a team that provides Agile process leadership services to R&D programs and teams.

Responsibilities

* Provide managerial guidance to team members to complete their assigned duties and meet or exceed expectations. Work with the R&D leadership team to provide appropriate resources to accomplish objectives.

* Recruit and retain employees; provide frequent performance and developmental feedback to team members.

* Participate in professional associations, outreach activities, or appropriate educational opportunities to stay current on industry practices and relevant skills.

* Identify training needs. Oversee the training and development of new and experienced staff.

* Provide program- and team-level Agile process leadership and facilitation services.

* Manage the company's Agile training program.

* Define and manage department processes and standards to ensure alignment, predictable delivery, and improvement across the R&D organization. Continuously improve processes within span of control; actively contribute to departmental and company process improvements.

Qualifications

* Ability to lead and motivate employees

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Agile coaching, project/process management or software development

* Significant experience as an Agile Coach or equivalent people and process leader.

* Expertise in managing teams, projects/programs/portfolios, and organizational change initiatives.

* Open-minded, listens, empathizes, influences without formal authority, thinks beyond day-to-day activities

* Excellent analytical skills, with ability to visualize and analyze complex systems of people and interdependent work

* Passionate about organizational alignment, collaboration, group dynamics, and culture change by design

* Adeptness to effectively collaborate with employees, customers and partners from diverse academic, professional and cultural backgrounds

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Fast learner, highly organized and experience in demonstrating focus to lead teams to complete the highest priorities.

* Self-motivated with follow through and attention to detail

* Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job

* Ability to teach concepts and apply practices in a context-sensitive manner
