POSITION TITLE: Seasonal Studio Photographer

REPORTS TO: Photo Studio Manager

LOCATION: UFC Photo Studio

The Studio Photographer is responsible for product photography across Backcountry’s e-commerce catalog. This position requires technical photo ability and critical eye for detail. Primary responsibilities will live with on-model apparel production, with opportunity to flex skill across a wide assortment of products.

Our Salt Lake City studio is operating at limited capacity under protocol designed to assure health & safety for all team members involved. Proper sanitation measures, social distancing, face masks, and daily temperature checks will be required.

This is a full-time seasonal position available July - October 2020.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Photograph products in large scale studio operation
• Deploy styling and lighting that best informs products
• Capture relevant product details to photograph
• Adhere to file naming convention, strictly following file management guidelines, and maintaining a detailed record of all images produced
• Managing your workflow to insure throughput and quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean workstation and studio equipment
• Support coordinator team in inventory prep
• Follow inventory management protocols

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proven proficiency in digital photography; e-commerce work preferred (please provide portfolio)
• Experience working with models, stylists, and art directors
• Understanding of digital cameras & strobe lighting systems
• Working knowledge of Capture One, Adobe Creative Cloud, Lightroom CC, tethered capture, and OS X
• Good organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, multiple tasks, and maintain strict deadlines
• Team oriented mentality
• B.S. Degree in Art, Graphic Design, Digital Photography or equivalent experience
