Senior Manager, Finance Process & Strategy

Purpose:

Responsible for supporting strategic vision of the global finance organization to ensure achievement of the Global Finance's strategic objectives. Actively works with leadership to develop key deliverables for achieving long term Finance Transformation objectives. Initiates financial and strategic evaluations of transformation initiatives to achieve group-wide operational effectiveness and efficiency. Leads cross-functional initiatives and provides subject matter expertise and best practices related to Finance processes. Defines, measures and reports on value realization of the portfolio of programs he/she is responsible.

Accountabilities:

Job Responsibilities

* Serves the key relationship counterparty to Business Process Owners (BPOs); helping connect their work to achievement of Global Finance and the company's strategies.

* Leads teams through ambiguity and competing priorities while managing cross-functional change agendas and provides subject matter expertise.

* Provides direction and input to multi-disciplinary project teams, regarding process standardization and simplification, as well as change management to those engaged on change programs.

* Provides input to end to end approach for development of key change programs in partnership with senior finance and business leaders.

* Develops key hypothesis by leading cross-functional teams in conducting interviews, gathering data, defining and executing required analyses, identifying issues and problems and recommending approach to address them.

* Assists in providing priority to projects based on changing functional needs, resource capacity, risk exposure, and their interdependencies; ensures that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with Finance strategy and priorities and growth goals.

* Provides critical thinking and influence by helping to link the strategic agenda to the resulting execution plan. Provides guidance and counsel in development of long range plans involving strategy development, resource allocation, work plans, timelines, and financial outcomes.

* Engages Finance and Business Unit leaders regarding requirements to deliver on strategies and partner to shape initial scope for Global Finance Transformation change programs.

* Assis in driving end to end implementation of Global Finance Change programs across applicable disciplines (Program Management, Process Improvement, and Change Management)

* Helps to ensure strategic integration for Finance change programs ensuring seamless service delivery and hand-offs from strategy formulation to execution.

* Resolves conflicts by making decisions or negotiating with key BPOs.

* Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Outcomes

* Business cases, inclusive of ROI, payback, one-time and ongoing costs, etc.

* RFIs/RFPs in support of procuring new functionality within existing or new applications and/or vendors

* Roadmaps to demonstrate current state, future state, and improvements to be gained throughout incremental adoption

* Develop and maintaining a pipeline of actionable deliveries

* Business architecture and data flow diagrams, as is and future state

* Enterprise requirement documents

* Interdependencies of programs and project portfolios

* Recommendations of best practices

* Documented application adoption and process recommendations

* Translating strategic finance initiatives to Delivery team for design and execution of solution

* Agreement that solutions and process changes that fit Finance's long-term goals

* Periodic roadmap performance reviews with key stakeholders, both financial review and status (accomplishments, failures, deferred, etc.)

Qualifications and Experience:

* 4+ years of experience building business cases, product requirements and portfolio roadmaps for strategic initiatives based on market analysis and customer requirements

* 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams

* Strong expertise providing direction to and working closely with business, creative and technical teams

* Must be self-motivated and accountable, owning projects from inception to launch.

* Ability to drive work with minimal supervision and successfully remove/resolve project issues

* Ability to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment and react quickly, dynamically and intelligently to shifting priorities.

* Ability to interact with a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders on highly complex projects.

* Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills

* Excellent requirements gathering, analysis and solutioning skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Must possess both outstanding written and oral communication skills

* Expert in building and maintain relationships with leadership, stakeholders and delivery teams

* Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
