Data Analyst

Position Description:

The Data Analyst is an enterprise-focused role that supports customer retention, business development and enterprise growth. The Data Analyst is responsible for identifying, collecting and analyzing data to deliver data solutions, analytical tools and insights to stakeholders. The Data Analyst is responsible for establishing the right measures and using appropriate analysis techniques to make results actionable in support of demonstrating value and solving complex business issues.

Position Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Management, or related major.

* Minimum of 5-years of experience in analytical initiatives, projects and programs of a complex nature with minimal supervision.

* Experience with different analytical tools and how they can be leveraged for data consumption and visualization.

* Advanced Excel skills (including Power Query and Power Pivot) required. Basic SQL and data visualization tool experience required. Experience with Microsoft Power BI preferred. Experience with Microsoft R, Apache Zeppelin or other data science tools a plus.

* Proven ability to create and execute queries, pivot tables and reports from database sources.

* Experience with ETL methods and retrieving data from dimensional data models and data warehouses as well as experience with relational databases and data access methods preferred.

* Proven mathematical and statistical proficiency; competent in managing various forms of data and organizing it creatively to represent the appropriate graphical depiction of the results in a succinct, yet effective way.

* Proven conceptual/systems thinking skills. Recognizes patterns, trends, themes and connections in information to develop innovative ideas and solutions.

* Proven strategic thinking skills. Understands the current state and is able to visualize the ideal state and how to achieve it.

* Proven analytical thinking/problem solving. Accurately and efficiently assesses problems and effectively arrives at solutions.

* Passion for quality and customer satisfaction. Proven ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customer needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Able to think and act independently as well as collaboratively.

* Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to manage and support simultaneous complex, results-oriented projects with excellent time and project management skills.

* Solid business acumen. Experience and proven ability to interact with all levels of enterprise leadership as well as customer stakeholders.

* Ability to travel on behalf of the company as necessary (up to 20%).

* Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers' needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.

* Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
