The Station Attendant assists in the food processing, handling and distribution of meal services to customers, and performs a wide range of duties that include, but are not limited to, the following station assignments: Salad, Food, Beverage, etc. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
- Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
- Assures the necessary food and service equipment/utensils are secured for assigned area prior to meal service.
- Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus and patient/guest specific requirements.
- Maintains food safety and quality by applying HACCP principles throughout service.
- Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all foodservice equipment.
- Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedure and health department guidelines.
- Inventories and stocks bulk supplies, following established procedures and designated timeframes.
- May prepare foods for machines.
- May drive a truck over established routes.
- Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
- Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 0 to 1 year related work experience.

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):
- Generally in an indoor setting; however, may supervise outside activities and events.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Love working in food service, but need a better balance of your work and home? Get 3 days off a week, but still get full time hours and benefits. We are hiring Station Attendants to serve as Sandwich Makers, Grill Cooks, Pizza Chefs, and others in our main dining hall. Shifts are generally 10:15-8:30, with 1 weekend day per week. Schedules are usually consistent week to week, with variations for holidays and school closings. Pay is $9-$11.75, depending on skills and experience.
