L&D Operations Specialist

Effectively train new hires and existing Associates to perform the job functions in the Distribution Center. Demonstrate leadership behaviors through positive representation of the Company Core Values. Professional communication and problem solving skills are an essential part of training Associates to become competent, courteous and efficient.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Facilitate classroom, small group, and on-the-job training for new hires and existing Associates at our Distribution Center (DC Operations and Customization). Core function will be defined as DC Operations or Customization but all L& D Specialists will be cross trained in both areas to meet business need.

* Provides performance feedback and conduct training follow-ups with new and existing Associates; retrain as needed.

* Support business unit during PEAK business demand; on occasion flex hours as necessary to support business operations (ie – work assignments, shift changes, weekends, etc).

* Maintain training records; track and communicate training attendance as required.

* Create, review and update training materials as needed.

* Maintain and update the Associate badging system including adding, disabling, and updating access.

* DC Operations: Operate and train Power Industrial Equipment

* Customization: Develop and maintain screen printing skills by helping within the Customization department as needed.

* Collaborate with DC Leadership (Leads, Supervisors, Managers) and team members to successfully align training practices with Company Core Values.

* With assistance from Manager, continually work on developing skills in facilitating, developing and evaluating training programs.

* Professional expectations:

* Follow department procedures and instructions

* Attend meetings as assigned (ie – department, one-on-one, etc)

* Professionally communicate with manager, team members, and other Associates via email and in person

* Discretely handle confidential Associate information

* Participate in and support REACH and United Way events as part of the HR team.

* All other duties as assigned

Hours: M-F, 6:30am to 2:30pm and possible O.T. with flexibility to work other hours as business needs dictate

Required Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED

* Related experience in presenting, learning facilitation (3-6 months preferred)

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, Access
