Position: The Employment Specialist II exists to assist the Vocational Coordinator in the provision of employment services for persons with disabilities to assure the delivery of timely, consistent and quality vocationally related services.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Provide job support and coaching to help consumers acquire and maintain employment independently

* Manage caseload of 15-25 individuals

* Network with community employers to develop employment opportunities that match consumer skills

* Create job development plan through observation of consumer's skills, abilities, interests, limitations, and employment agency requirements to make recommendations for community employment

* Help to develop application, resume, cover letter, and interview/job skills

* Assist in managing job coaching calendar and work schedule

* Monitor employment progress by completing intakes, consultations, and assessment activities that determine skill level and identify existing barriers

* Complete daily/monthly reports and documentation based on observations of work performance, goal progress, job coaching hours, and any additional supportive information

* Transport consumers to employment locations

* Attend scheduled meetings/trainings and communicate professionally

* Protect consumer confidentiality

Essential Requirements/Functions:

* 18 years of age

* Acceptable Background Character Verification

* Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record for consumer transport

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low position, raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, and use hands and fingers

* Communicate basic English

* Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
