ProHealth Care is committed to creating an environment in which every interaction results in a positive experience! For over a hundred years our organization has stood out from our competitors because we strive to provide an exceptional experience with every person, every time. All members of our team – whether clinical or non-clinical – have a direct impact on the delivering on our brand promise "The Way You Should Be Treated".

As a member of the high performing Patient Access Team, this role provides the critical first point of contact with patients and potential patients to ProHealth Care. We are looking for team members who are comfortable taking the initiative to provide a world class service experience to callers.

Our call center is a dynamic work environment where professionals are given the opportunity and tools to use initiative and problem solving skills to get the caller (whether internal or external) exactly what they need, as quickly as possible, on the first call. Patient Access Schedulers must possess the ability to adapt their approach to assist each caller appropriately, based on the caller's individual needs. This includes the ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manger and demonstrating empathy while utilizing appropriate soft skills. If you like to be challenged by learning new things, and want to apply those new ideas to better serve our patients, then this is the job for you!

The Patient Access Scheduler supports patient care delivery and management of the following processes: appointment scheduling, cancelling/rescheduling of appointments, handling patients who are no shows for appointments, referrals for clinical symptoms triage, prescription refill requests, provider referrals, future appointment outreach, wait list management and population health outreach. This role continuously provides world class customer service in a high volume setting (approximately 80-120 inbound calls per shift). Schedulers provide a communication link between patients and care teams through the use of protocols, facility information, personnel lists, and relevant department policies and procedures. They are continually looking for new and better ways to assist their customers, and they strive to never settle for less than the best service.

The most qualified candidates will have prior customer service experience in a medical call center setting. Other acceptable experience would include, but not be limited to medical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology, experience with electronic medical records systems (prior EPIC experience is a big plus), and/or prior registration or billing experience. Proficiency in using a computer and a High School diploma (or equivalent) is required for this role.
