Temporary no Benefits

FTE: 0.60

* Inventories and restocks supply rooms and par carts in nursing units and ancillary departments.

* Delivers supplies and medical equipment to all departments on a routine or stat basis.

* Maintains appropriate space for stock items and unloads, unpacks and stores items received, including using procedures for handling sterile supplies, as required.

* Rotates placement of stock items on the shelves according to expiration dates for inventory turnover purposes, ensuring the oldest product is used first according to expiration dates.

* Receives supplies and equipment, signs appropriate documents indicating receipt, compares product against purchase order.

* Examines all cartons received for outside damage and accepts or rejects goods based on this examination.

* Transfers materials received from skids/pallets to the proper shelf or storage location using proper body mechanics and lifting equipment, as warranted.

* Routine cleaning of supply carts, totes, etc.

* Follows approved infection control procedures
