IT Training Manager

Iron Bow has a requirement to provide personnel and services to perform the Information Technology (IT) training services for the Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Division to fulfill the creation or assembly of all IT related user trainings and technical documentations used for internal technical reference (e.g. Customer User Guides, Standard Operation Procedure, Knowledge Articles, training materials, etc.). The training team will be working with the development/engineering team, the technical support teams (Tier1, Tier 2, Account Administration, Mobile Support, and AV Support), and end users, for the purposes of creating technical, operational, training medias, and support documentation.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct IT training for all new hires, via one on one, classroom setting or videoconference.

* Conduct general application training (Office Suites, PDF, etc.).

* Develop curriculum for application and hardware training & create documentation for it.

* Conduct individualized one-on-one training as needed.

* Consult with end users regularly to identify new training opportunities.

* Maintain the Training Knowledgebase, Best Practice Tips, how to's, and other publication sources, to aid our users in self-help.

* Plan, design, and implement effective, engaging, innovative, and interactive training activities.

* Create, update, and maintain training templates and documentation including creation of brochures, Quick Help guides, and other training materials.

* Provide assistance and participate on new project(s) testing and deployment/delivery.

* Organize reference materials and develop standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals in written and electronic format.

* Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations in accordance to 508 compliance

* Create testing and evaluation processes.

* Develop a training schedule

* Track user training records.

* Address Civil Division customers training needs via classroom training, demonstrations, and one on one training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.

* Translate technical documentation into content that can be more easily understood by a non-technical person.

* Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our product and the documentation requirements.

* Document, update and close tickets according to the SLAs

Requirements:

* Bachelor of Arts

* Minimum 5 years of experience in supervising trainers

* Minimum 5+ years training and development, instructional design, teaching, or related work

* Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

* Knowledge and familiarity of ITIL processes

* Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of training materials prior to distribution

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to communicate and present a technical subject matter in an understandable, coherent manner

* Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

* Ability to develop Standard Operating Procedures, informative documentation, training guides, customer assistance "How To" scripts, product usage guidelines, packaged (or "canned") communications.
