IT Support Technician

Role Summary We're looking for an IT Support Technician. This is an opportunity for a junior IT professional to extend his or her capabilities. This position involves some desktop support, some server maintenance, and general IT systems oversight. We're looking for somebody who will proactively identify improvements that can be made and execute on these.

This position is based in New York, NY. Travel to Washington, DC required 1-2 days per month.

Essential duties include:

* Adding, removing, and maintaining user accounts in email and other systems

* Configuring computers for new staff

* The IT tools we use are mostly cloud based, so the work requires more time managing cloud services than working in a server room.

* Managing backups and restore tests

* Documenting systems and processes

* Helping users troubleshoot problems


Bachelor's degree or related work experience in IT support, or a related field.

Required Skills:

* Experience with Mac and Windows desktop environments

* Experience with Office365/Exchange

* Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

* Experience with office network configuration

* Experience with Google Apps for Business

* Experience with Box or Dropbox for business

* Experience with Okta or other single sign-on providers
