We are seeking a SAS Admin/Architect to join our team and support our client in Washington DC. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering innovative and highly effective technology enabled visual analytics solutions to address key business challenges. The ideal candidate will have provided solutions across both the federal and commercial sectors using SAS Visual Analytics. We prefer candidates that have been involved in the full development lifecycle from capture and proposal through project initiation to production deployment. The ideal candidate will have effectively delivered large, complex analytical solutions, involving large amounts of data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Install, configure and administer the SAS Visual Analytics platform

* Develop visual dashboards and analytics to the end business consumers

* Provide technical and business direction to deliver analytic solutions

* Provide technology strategic direction for both current state data analytics, as well as, future state analytic initiatives

* Provide oversight and guidance regarding the BI tools architecture, administration & development

Work Experience:

* 8-10 years working experience delivering visual analytic solutions to business consumers

* 4-5 years hands-on working experience with SAS Visual Analytics

* 4-5 years of experience in supporting enterprise-wide data programs with specific focus on data architecture, data design patterns, ETL, data flow diagramming, data warehousing, and business intelligence.

* Experience in the design and implementation of high volume, high available analytic solutions as well as knowledge of n-tier architectures and complex analytic patterns.

* Strong presentation and collaboration skills and ability to communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation while demonstrating a sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving issues

* Able to deliver quality projects on time and within budget by using strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.

Job Skills:

* Experience in architecting data analytic solutions-visualizations, dashboards, reports, predictive analytics, mobile solutions.

* Strong understanding of various data architecture patterns to support business intelligence applications

* Minimum of 8 years of experience in data warehousing, data marts, etc.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience with developing/designing reporting architectures

* Strong experience working with various BI tools, such as, IBM Cognos and SAS Visual Analytics

* Experience working and designing with very large volumes of data

* Strong SQL Skills


* Bachelor's Degree required

* Master's Degree is preferred

Communication Skills:

* Excellent verbal and written skills

* Ability to write clear and concise technical architecture documents


* Willing to travel occasionally as needed (up to 10%).

Environmental Requirements:

* Mainly sedentary; in an office environment. May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds

* Flexible in working extended hours
