Job Description


Candidate will be supporting the Navy's Engineering Directorate examining technical issues across the Chief Engineering community and technical authority arena.

Responsbilities will include:

Examining technical issues and proposing approaches and solutions

Tracking and reporting on issues and actions reported by the technical community

Develop process improvements and monitor implementations

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Master's Degree 10-12. Relevant experience can be used to offset degree requirements.

Candidate should have experience and knowledge in the following areas:

US Navy shipboard experience

Experience in shipbuilding or repair shipyard industrial environments, in particular experience with maintenance/modernization processes.

Experience with ships, submarines, nuclear power, SUBSAFE, and controlled work package processes.

Expert knowledge of advanced engineering principles, methods, and techniques in more than one area of expertise.

Excellent customer and organizational level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
