We are seeking a DYNAMIC and DEDICATED PART-TIME BILINGUAL Dental Assistant to join our clinic in Washington,DC.

The PART-TIME BILINGUAL Dental Assistant performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The dental assistant provides chair-side assistance for the dentists and/or hygienists, as needed


* Follows all infection control procedures in treatment rooms and in the care of instruments.

* Sterilizes/disinfects dental operatories and instruments after each usage; set up the operatory for next patient.

* Prepares operatory for designated dental procedures; seat patient & review medical history.

* Assists dentist during patient care.

* Exposes and process dental radiographs as needed.

* Prepares specimens for laboratory pick-up and keep a log of cases pending.

* Serves as translator and interpreter for dentists who do not speak Spanish.

* Provides patient education during patient care, and post patient care.

* Schedules daily, weekly, monthly and yearly preventative maintenance on all dental equipment; according to schedules. Maintain dental supplies and place orders in an efficient manner.

* Documents each procedure in the designated log.

* Keeps the inventory log of instruments.

* Performs other job-related duties as assigned


* High school diploma or equivalency.

* Two (2) years' experience working in a Health Care environment; preferably in a dental setting.

* Experience working with the Latino Community


* Bilingual: English-Spanish

* Ability to identify priority issues.

* Ability to partner with others to pursue outcomes identified by individuals.

* Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
