Hill+Knowlton Strategies is seeking an Account Supervisor in our Washington, DC office to strategically plan and provide day-to-day implementation of client public relations programs and projects to maintain client satisfaction. The Account Supervisor will:

* Work closely with client contacts to identify communications requirements to support recommendation, planning, budgeting, and implementation of appropriate solutions.

* Write annual program and project plans, news releases, pitches, fact sheets, whitepapers, Q&A's, articles, matte stories, and by-lined articles.

* Carry out media placement activities with local and national media, key reporters, and online influencers.

* Responsible for quality control of assigned client programs, including writing, editing, and approving written copy and presentations.

* Contribute to development of new business proposals, pitches, and presentations.

* Mentor junior team members on implementation of client program elements.

* Anticipate client needs and potential issues, and handle and resolve any crises that arise.

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field plus two (2) years of experience executing strategic PR campaigns within an agency. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field plus five (5) years of experience executing strategic PR campaigns within an agency. Must have two (2) years (or with a Bachelor's degree, five (5) years) of experience in the following skills:

* Public relations/communications experience in a PR agency environment to include delivering sound counsel to clients;

* Media strategy and execution with a base of relevant contacts;

* Leading digital and social media campaigns to reach target audiences and drive engagement;

* Writing and editing across a variety of platforms including social, web, and email;

* Leveraging positioning and brand marketing in planning and delivering successful broad-based PR programs to achieve client objectives;

* Storytelling to ideate strong client narratives that capture attention and communicate a clear brand message;

* Developing and maintaining client budgets;

* Driving digital strategy and applying digital execution and outreach tools using Adobe Creative Suites and CMS, Radian6, Brandwatch, Google Analytics, Blue State Digital Technology, Exact Target, Social Studio, and Sprinklr;

* Executing strategic communications campaigns and developing campaign strategy, press materials, pitches, and client messaging;

* Drafting communication program and project plans, pitches, news releases, fact sheets, whitepapers, Q&A's, and research materials;

* Monitoring traditional and social media using Radian6.
