We're hiring a Controls Engineer to work in Warren, OH (relocation offered within the USA) at the Warren (CTC) Customer Technical Center.

What you'll do:

* Design and develop robust manufacturing processes for wiring manufacturing facilities

* Seek out, understand, and interpret product requirements that can be implemented in innovative new manufacturing processes

* Create innovative, high quality, safe manufacturing solutions to difficult problems

* Stay abreast of in-house manufacturing capabilities as well as those outside the company in the industry

* Utilize state of the art technologies to incorporate into customized advanced manufacturing solutions

* Work with customer teams to understand customer-specific needs from a product/process standpoint as well as cost and quality

* Create and deliver project and customer presentations

* Participate in global engineering team meetings

* Follow Aptiv's Advanced Process Development process throughout the project and assure deliverables are met on time

* Be contributing part of the Aptiv's Innovation Team

* Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic/international)

What you need to have:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

* 7+ years of familiar with design of machine controls systems to NFPA 79 and NEC codes

* 7+ years of experience with Digital and Analog I/O and high speed protocols

* 7+ years of experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and Keyence & Cognex machine vision

* 7+ years of experience with Servo motion control OR robot programming

Would be nice to have:

* Master's Degree

* Excellent communication skills, oral and written

* Computer skills:Microsoft Office and Visio

* Team oriented
