ImmunoGen is developing the next generation of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) to improve outcomes for cancer patients. By generating targeted therapies with enhanced anti-tumor activity and favorable tolerability profiles, we aim to disrupt the progression of cancer and offer our patients more good days. Our lead product candidate, mirvetuximab soravtansine, is in Phase 3 study for folate receptor alpha (FRα)-positive platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, and in Phase 1b/2 testing in combination regimens. The Opportunity

Provide strategic and tactical commercial input for all internal programs. A specific area of focus is ensuring the development and implementation of the required pre-commercial, tactical commercial readiness activities for mirvetuximab soravtansine, including launch planning and life-cycle management. The Head, Commercial Assessment will also be responsible for evaluating and prioritizing additional growth opportunities for the ImmunoGen portfolio including indication prioritization for subsequent pipeline assets. Additional responsibilities will include market research management and competitive intelligence. Strong communication skills and effective, coordination with R&D, Finance, Commercial, and Corporate Development colleagues will be critical for success in this role.

* Prior to the establishment of a commercial function at ImmunoGen, define and implement all pre-launch planning activities for mirvetuximab soravtansine.Ensure all material aspects of required pre-launch activities are in place.

* Direct/implement strategic commercial projects to inform disease area strategies including market research, opportunity assessment, and disease area mapping.

* Lead market research, data analytics, pricing and access analyses, and pipeline/competitor reviews to generate commercial opportunity assessments.

* Develops robust, data-supported revenue forecasts/P&L, as a critical input for discounted cash flow-based valuations of both potential transaction opportunities as well as internal projects; provides data, perspective, and other input to these valuation exercises.

* Provide commercial input to Program Teams, as well as lead the development of brand strategies and commercialization plans for assets.

* Direct/ implement strategic commercial projects to inform asset strategy and clinical development plans.

* Lead new product planning.

* Develop and communicate strong understanding of treatment protocols, level of unmet need, patient segmentation, call point and targeting, and a full understanding of the current and future competitive pipeline in order to identify targeted product concepts with necessary product profiles.

* Works closely with Corporate Development colleagues to support assessment of potential transactions.

* Provides analyses and decision-making frameworks to guide the company's portfolio activities in maximizing and advancing the subsequent pipeline ‒ Works with R&D, IP/legal and Commercial colleagues to articulate feasibility and attractiveness based business cases to inform portfolio prioritization ‒ Responsible for defining market potential and ROI of potential portfolio investment areas and defines portfolio evolution timelines and tradeoffs.

* Responsible for market research activities and managing qualitative and quantitative market research vendor relationships.

* Provide input to the commercial / launch planning team on the infrastructure aspects most critical for success of pipeline assets beyond mirvetuximab soravtansine.

* Leads competitive intelligence activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Active participant in all product therapy and product launch planning teams providing recommendations and insights on optimizing current market position and valuing unmet needs opportunities.

* Identifies and understands business needs to the extent that data requests are translated into actionable and value-adding market assessments.

* Recommends commercial strategies including packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans, and future development of a specific product.

* Works closely with R&D and Corporate Development to identify and evaluate external business opportunities providing an in-depth understanding of value drivers and quantifying their impact.

* Develops early launch planning activities and early brand plans.

* Develops best practices process for market assessments pre and post launch.

* Demonstrates in-depth overall industry understanding by providing insightful interpretations and recommendations based on those secondary research findings.

* Creates revenue and valuation models that capture key value drivers, overall market size, with category and individual product sales.

* Works to integrate business intelligence needs into strategic plans to ensure proper timing, budget, and coordination considerations.

* Performs ad-hoc secondary data requests including gathering information from appropriate source(s) and performing necessary analytics.

* Revises TPP's and Integrated Development Plans as necessary.

Who You Are

* MBA or JD required; scientific training a plus.

* Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech new product planning experience and/or pharmaceutical global strategic marketing experience in oncology, with demonstrated strategic/analytical skills required.

* Experience working with cross-functional program teams and R&D to guide asset development is strongly desired. Proven ability to influence in these settings is necessary.

* Must be a strong communicator, able to confidently and articulately present findings to senior management, including the Executive Committee, as well as able to represent the commercial position to senior members within different functions of the organization. Additional desired experience: market research planning, global brand planning, KOL engagement, strategy consulting, and working in the context of commercial partnerships.

* The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of success identifying key drivers, creating and managing sales and marketing programs and the respective program metrics to optimize the valuation of an asset. He/she will proactively identify business issues, opportunities, and information needs.
