Job Title: Email Marketing Manager

Summary: In relation to contributing to SJVC’s mission and goals, under the direct supervision of the Director of Brand Marketing, the Email Marketing Manager’s main duties include running email marketing campaigns end-to-end, managing email databases and creating newsletters. As an Email marketing manager, your role is to reach potential students through email campaigns and inform them about new products and events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify target audience and grow our email list
  • Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns
  • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar and spelling
  • Ensure mobile-friendly email templates
  • Write emails/newsletters including all company updates
  • Upgrade our email templates using graphics, personalization and advanced features
  • Ensure prompt and accurate communication with database via email to minimize unsubscribes
  • Create email databases for lead generation
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
  • Report on sales revenue generated from email marketing efforts
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise the in-house graphic and digital designers and videographer.

Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required degree(s) must be from institutions accredited by recognized U.S. accrediting agencies. Degrees from non-U.S. institutions are recognized only if equivalence has been established and provided. Agency Experience Strongly Preferred. Must have creative experience with all media with emphasis on video/tv production.

Travel – Must be able and willing to travel to campus and training locations as needed.

Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, transcribe minutes; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees.

Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardize situations.

Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, and Excel.
