Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Medicine Stepdown Unit!
$10,000 sign on bonus available for qualified candidates!

Unit Description:
  • Our unit is open 24/7 days a week. We offer 10 or 12 hours shifts depending upon our need.
  • We are a 34-bed unit that cares for medical/surgical and intermediate care cardiac patients.
  • Patient population consists of pre and post non-invasive and invasive cardiac interventions, permanent pacemakers, electrophysiology, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and myocardial infarctions.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Education Level

RN-Bachelor's Level Degree OR
RN-Diploma (Non-degree) OR
RN-Doctorate Level Degree OR
RN-Master's Level Degree

Experience

License
Required: Registered Nurse

Preferred: Basic Life Support

New Hire Education Requirement: All Registered Nurses who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to successfully obtain their BSN within 5 years of hire. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
