Program Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of all program facets within Envision's Education Department. Specifically this Program Coordinator will work alongside the STEM Academy of Program Managers to support various programs and will be responsible for supervising the on-site events and staff members of their assigned programs.

Position Responsibilities:

* Supervise assigned team of seasonal staff members

* Plan and produce training sessions and relevant training materials

* Evaluate the quality of performance of the seasonal staff members

* Monitor student experiences throughout programs including assisting students with questions, concerns, and any special arrangements during the conference

* Coordinate residential and meeting facility services

* Serve as a liaison for vendors

* Participate in curriculum brainstorming sessions and produce student materials

* Conduct large number of seasonal staff member interviews and provide hiring recommendations

* Conduct staff meetings for the seasonal staff team during the program

* Manage the coordination and booking of travel for staff

* Assist with the reconciliation of program purchases, petty cash, staff per diems, and inventory supplies

* Assist with the shipping, storage, tracking and inventorying of program supplies

* Handle student discipline and emergency/crisis situations

* Implement the program medical policy

* Coordinate the arrival and departure of participants

* Represent the organization in a professional manner to various audiences (participants, parents, vendors, speakers, supporting organizations, etc.)

* Coordinate and communicate program or team schedule of activities via use of calendar and other tools as may be appropriate

* Demonstrate sound decision-making and problem solving skills for field-based situations (staff management, student issues, weather/event alterations, customer escalations, etc.)

* Job requires lifting up to 50 lbs.

Position Qualifications:

Degree & Certifications (required and preferred):

* Bachelor of Arts or Science degree required

Skills & Knowledge (required and preferred):

* Strong communication skills

* Detail oriented with ability to prioritize and work on various projects simultaneously

* Able to travel seasonally, and work extended days and hours as directed by program needs

* 1 - 2 years professional experience

* At least one year of managerial, event planning or experiential education preferred

* Experience working with middle school aged students preferred


* Ability to travel 10% of the time year-round and 100% during peak program times (currently summer months)

* Day and Overnight On Call support required during assigned program cycles
