Chemical Technician

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Chemical Technician to prepare, analyze and report on the results of environmental, operational and research samples. Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as ICP, AA, and MS for the Exploration and Development Division located in the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest in Viburnum, MO.

Responsibilities:

* Independently prepare exploration and operation samples for XRF analysis

* Prepare, analyze and report on the results of environmental, operational and research samples

* Operate and maintain various analytical instruments and laboratory equipment

* Make sure analysis of samples meets quality standards.

* Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* 0-3 years' experience as a chemist/chemical technician

* Associate's degree in Chemistry or related field or equivalent experience

Skills and Abilities:

* Computer skills Intermediate skills

* Microsoft Office (esp. Excel and Word) Intermediate skills

* Knowledge of quality control standards Intermediate skills
