Pursuit Manager

Otak is growing, and we have an opportunity for a Pursuit Manager (aka Senior Marketing Coordinator) in our Vancouver office. In this position, you will manage pursuits by working with technical and other marketing staff to prepare proposals, statements of qualifications, and other marketing materials that win us work. As part of these efforts, you will establish pursuit plans, set internal deliverables and deadlines, develop written content and ensure its quality and accuracy, and ensure the on-time delivery of proposal, SOQ, or other materials.

As an owner of marketing content for the Southwest Washington region, you will manage and maintain relevant content in Otak's marketing database, Deltek Vision. Such content includes resumes, project descriptions, and project details such as dates, costs, and deliverables. You will work with the Regional Marketing Manager to plan and execute capture planning activities, working collaboratively with technical staff to identify opportunities and execute client and teaming partner outreach activities. You will be a "go-to" resource for the technical staff when they need help with or guidance on pursuits and pursuit materials.

What you'll do:

* Develop and carry out pursuit plans, including facilitating strategy meetings and coordinating the work of other pursuit team members

* Work closely with technical staff to establish, commit to, and champion pursuit plans, including schedules, deliverables, and reviews, ranging from win plan to selection

* Lead the proposal development effort as a partner with project managers, preparing proposal sections and scopes of work, tailoring our experience to match our understanding of client needs

* Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of resumes, statements of qualifications, project descriptions, etc., in accordance with Otak writing standards

* Serve as a key team member of the larger Otak marketing and business development organization, supporting enterprise-level marketing projects and efforts

What you're good at:

* Applying your understanding of the A&E industry, competitors, and teaming relationships

* Implementing marketing fundamentals, theory, and practice

* Organizing schedules, projects, processes, and people

* Thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environment

* Tracking and making use of CRM data

* Using MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as InDesign and Photoshop, and CRM tools such as Deltek Vision

What you bring:

* Bachelor's degree

* 10-15 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years of relevant A&E experience

* Excellent writing skills with a full command of grammar and style

* Skillful at meeting management and facilitation

* Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills

* Flexible and adaptable

* Detail oriented

* Excellent time management skills

* Basic understanding of A&E industry terminology and procedures
