Maintenance Mechanic 3 (2nd shift)

Experience a challenging and stimulating career at Kyocera International, Inc. We are a global technology leader seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic 3 for 2nd shift for our Vancouver, WA manufacturing facility for our Fine Ceramics Division.

Under limited supervision, you will be responsible for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of production equipment as well as preventative maintenance of the machinery. You will also assist engineering teams with improvements of equipment and fixtures. This is a highly interactive role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you will be interfacing and communicating with operators, technicians, engineers, supervisors, managers and outside vendors.


* Troubleshoots all process and facilities related equipment in regards to electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.

* May oversee large machine or production processes.

* Completes monthly maintenance for all production and facilities equipment when requested.

* Manages several projects simultaneously without direct supervision.

* Maintains all office and administrative maintenance requests using SAP and Outlook.

* Performs 5S activities as required daily, weekly, and monthly.

* Works in cooperation with other Managers, Engineers, and division supervisors on insuring all equipment is maintained and operational.

* Reports any safety problems immediately.

* All other duties as assigned.


* High School education or GED plus 4 years of related experience and/or equivalent education.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience of electromechanical troubleshooting of production equipment.

* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

* Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics and PLC ladder logic

* Ability to interact effectively with production, engineering and outside vendors.

* Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines is preferred.

* Ability to work overtime as needed.

* Basic computer proficiency
