SUMMARY

The Information Technology ("IT") Director will provide hands-on direction to the IT department in researching and planning for the implementation of new technology and maintenance of the Bank's IT systems and infrastructure. This position will direct, plan, organize and control all activities of the IT department and will ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of all automated data processing systems. They will determine the Bank's systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization's business objectives. This position is also responsible for evaluating technologies and trends that could improve the Bank's products and performances as well as establishing technology standards and communicating technical information to the Bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Provide overall IT governance for the Bank

* Direct the strategic design, acquisition, management and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure.

* Lead all aspects of technological development, including creating and executing on an IT strategic plan with input from Executive management.

* Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and staff within the organization

* Monitor changes or advancements in technology and recommend appropriate action

* Evaluate new equipment, software and processes, recommend changes and supervise the deployment

* Responsible for selecting and implementing suitable strategies and technology to streamline all internal operations, increase the Bank's top-line revenue and help to accomplish the Bank's business objectives

* Ensure the Bank's data remains secure by keeping up to date on the latest cyber security threats, monitoring network activity and finding ways to guard against emerging threats

* Responsible for overseeing the organization's computer hardware, software and all other products and supplies necessary to keep computer systems operable.

* Direct and oversee vendor management for IT related vendors. Including review vendor proposals and make recommendations based on things such as product capabilities, pricing and how the vendor's product may fit into the organization.

* Act as a liaison between hardware and software suppliers and Bank management

* Responsible for implementing technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience

* Work in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, loan servicing, operations and accounting as an advisor for technologies that may improve efficiency and operations

* Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures regarding computer operations, security and technology compliance

* Take a lead architect position on technical projects, including hands-on deployment as needed

* Project friendliness and professionalism in both appearance and attitude when dealing with customers in order to present a positive Bank image.

* Perform all functions of personnel management of department employees

* Participate in and complete training objectives with passing scores.

* Follow all applicable state and federal laws, banking regulation, and all Riverview policies and procedures.

RELATIONSHIPS

* Regular contact with Executives, Senior Management and Information Technology Staff.

* Regular contact with other managers and staff as information source, team member, collaborator, etc.

* Contact with regulators and auditors as an information source and liaison.

* Periodic contact with outside customers as information source and troubleshooter.

* Contact with vendors as a business consumer.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the leadership of the Bank's Information Technology Team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Riverview policies and applicable laws and regulation. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; and a minimum seven years of experience in Information Technology and Network Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrate excellent management skills with in-depth knowledge of computer operations and technology. Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems. Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation. Strong analytical and business judgment skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and leadership skills with an ability to cultivate trust and buy-in.

SKILLS

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in a professional manner.

* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Ability to listen and collaborate with other managers to identify, interpret and solve problems and develop long-term strategies.

* Expertise in data center management and data governance

* Experience in controlling information technology budget

* Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.

* Ability to manage, lead, direct and motivate a team of technology personnel.

* The ability to offer flexibility in a changing work environment is imperative.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms in accessing and working with files. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be asked to move files, boxes, or small pieces of furniture and must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision in working with written forms and computers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock in working with standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
