This position is responsible for the OWS clinical team members (PCT, PCA, POC, and PCC.). This leadership position will be aligned and accountable to a Client Vice President (VP) of Patient Care Services (PCS) with a primary responsibility for ensuring that all Client staffing requirements are met on a daily basis. The Operations Manager will work with their respective VP and front line nurse leadership teams in scheduling, staffing and delivering patient care services. This position will manage their assigned direct reports and support team(s). Follow all required Client and OWS policies and procedures, safety protocols and WMC corporate compliance policies and procedures.

* Works with their respective VP PCS/Nursing, clinical directors, nurse managers and NCC's to deliver excellence in Patient Care, specifically with the OWS PCTs/PCAs/POCs/PCCs assigned to their area of responsibility

* Ensure Client that contract requirements are met and deliver service levels that meet expectations

* Participate in and contribute to Nurse Leadership meetings as deemed appropriate by the Chief Nurse Executive and Vice President-PCS

* Represent OWS and partner with Client in program initiatives

* Prepares a written monthly report for review by assigned VP and OWS Executive Director for monthly roll up to OWS and WMC executive leadership teams

* Works with their Client partners, identifies inefficiencies, barriers to delivering quality care and implements appropriate corrective action

* Manages monthly staffing plan/schedules by meeting designated production deadlines. Accomplished by managing, facilitating, coordination of request for time off, and appropriate balancing to meet core requirements for each shift in partnership with their respective nursing leadership team

* Communicates and follows up with OWS Scheduler(s) in developing long term and supplemental monthly schedules and ensures schedules follow all OWS and collective bargaining agreement requirements

* Supervises their team(s) and assigned employees following all OWS and collective bargaining agreement requirements

* Take responsibility as the Manager on Duty to handle other operational and employee issues for other OWS Operations Managers areas if they are absent

* Performs purposeful rounding:

* collects data and makes observations

* reviews findings, trends, issues,

* identifies positive employee performance for employee recognition

* engages employee and OWS Educators if performance does not meet criteria

* Responsible for employee relations issues for their teams, write ups, recognition of professional advancement:

* Fosters an environment of employee engagement

* Monitors assigned staff's time and attendance records regularly

* Identifies performance trends and provides corrective action plans

* Ensures OWS team members are prepared with adequate tools, training and direction

* Performs probationary employee performance appraisal prior to due date and annual Employee Performance Appraisals (60) days prior to due date, no later than (60) days after due date

* Works with OWS Management and Recruiter(s) in establishing staffing needs and coordinating interviews of candidates and collaborates by ascertaining feedback from designated WMC PCS/Nursing Leader

* Participate in recruiting open house efforts by interviewing and establishing experience and screening criteria

* Works collaboratively with OWS education team with the initial on-boarding orientation for all new hires in assigned Care Center

* Coach and develop team members and work with OWS and CCH to identify training and development opportunities

* Work with OWS Education team in identifying clinical education opportunities

* Responsible for ensuring employees' credentials and annual compliance training and clinical validation is completed and meets OWS and WMC requirements

* Routine Duties:

* Participate in and lead shift transfer handoff meetings to identify and resolve staffing and employee issues

* Ensure adequate OWS Operations staff levels and provides backup if required

* Work with OWS Operations staff and WMC Nurse Managers to ensure proper staff levels and assignments are met on time and meet core requirements

* Direct team in contacting and available employees to fill assignments

* Ensure daily reports are produced, reviewed, and delivered to appropriate OWS and/or WMC audience including zone reports, core reports, incident logs, counseling logs, etc.

* Direct OWS Operations team and participate in employee relation meetings

* Ensure time off requests are managed efficiently and equitably and work with WMC Nurse Managers and their OWS Operations and Scheduling teams to prepare for and accommodate approved requests

* Participate in and conduct OWS staff meetings

* Actively participate in WMC Divisional and Unit meetings as deemed appropriate by CNE and/or VP PCS

* Evaluate glucose, hand hygiene and suicide observations
