Primary Purpose of Position

To clean and maintain the common areas assigned throughout the hotel and assist in all areas related to housekeeping. Ensure the room attendants carts are stocked with supplies and remove dirty linens. Deliver guest requests such as iron, pillows, coffee pots etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transfer clean and dirty linen to and from the housekeeping closets
  • Remove trash from the closets and office and place in the dumpster
  • Deliver guest requests as needed, in a timely & friendly manner
  • Vacuum the floors and ensure cleanliness of hallways
  • Remove recyclable material and place in designated areas
  • Remove trash from closets and dispose of properly
  • Ensure closets are stocked with linen for the next day
  • Remove all dirty linen and place in the laundry room
  • Sweep and mop stairwells
  • Clean balcony windows
  • Organize and keep the closets and room attendant carts stocked with linen and supplies
  • Help with various housekeeping or laundry duties as needed.
  • Maintain public areas and the spa at times
  • Clean office and administrative areas
  • Place all dishes and room service trays in the hallways & contact the room service department
  • Move and rearrange furniture when needed
  • Know and adhere to all LHW standards
  • Use the guests name whenever possible

Education/Experience

  • Minimum 14 years of age
  • Cleaning experience helpful, but not required
  • Prior experience in a hotel preferred

Special Skills/Equipment

  • English speaking helpful
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as a member of a team at times
