Our Game Growth organization plans to unlock the power of Amazon to create extraordinary growth opportunities for game creators by creating a full suite of services including performance advertising, re-imagined Amazon Detail pages, and a seamless purchase and digital fulfillment experience for players across all platforms.

We are seeking a passionate design technologist who wants to create amazing front-end solutions for game-centric experiences. This will include working with designers to develop and lead a comprehensive, custom design system, develop and manage our Storybook.js instance, build a new web presence, ongoing creation of prototypes for testing and iteration, and developing artifacts and processes that support the efficient transition of designs to engineering-ready solutions.

This position will be joining a talented, and highly collaborative UX team supported by a full compliment of disciplines (design, research, and program management). An enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration is a must.

Locations: You will be based in San Diego, Culver City Seattle, or there is a possibility of being virtual within the United States.

Key job responsibilities

* Work with the design team to develop and manage our atomic component UI design system.

* Act as the primary point of contact between the engineering teams and the design team where the UI system and front-end development is concerned.

* Develop and manage our Storybook.js site for our UI system.

* Support design and research by building prototypes for UX research testing.

* Develop prototypes for blue-sky explorations.

* Develop tools and processes for transitioning designs to engineering-ready solutions.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

* 4+ years of experience as a front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper.

* Ability to quickly create prototypes in a variety of tools and front-end frameworks, including Figma, Framer, Principle, Flinto, React, jQuery, etc.

* Proficient in a variety of languages, libraries, and supporting technologies (e.g.: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactNative).

* Proven expertise implementing scalable front-end solutions across desktop and mobile.

* An understanding of basic motion and animation principles, and how to create them using code or design tools.

* Ability to effectively present your work to stakeholders.

* Ability to work with a design team to ideate and create scalable design solutions.

* Mastery of UX and software development best practices.

* Experience building plugins for Figma

* Experience using Lottie

* Familiarity with Amazon retail services and technologies.
