Delivery Driver - Fulfillment Center

General Function:

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Delivers product to customers. Responsible for delivery vehicle cleanliness inside and out.

Director; Manager Of; Human Resources/Accounting Manager; Assistant Managers; Department Managers

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Adheres to company policies and individual center guidelines.

* Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

* Answers the telephone promptly when called upon and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call including taking customers' orders.

* Maintains a positive attitude; creates an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.

* Provides prompt efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important person.

* Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner while delivering orders.

* Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible.

* Maintains food and groceries at proper temperature in accordance with food safety standards and to ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.

* Provide accurate and timely deliveries to customers in a professional manner.

* Obeys all DOT and safety standards.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assists in other areas of center as needed.

* Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

* Facilitates the maintenance and upkeep to delivery vehicles.

* Assists in training new employees.

Education/Experience:

High school or equivalent experience. Six months to one year of similar or related experience preferred. Basic Computer, GPS and Smart Phone knowledge necessary.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

* Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 6-8 hours a day.

* Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

* Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

* Must be physically able to enter and exit a delivery vehicle multiple times a day, traverse staircases and other rough terrain to reach delivery destination.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner.

* Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions.

* Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.

Working Conditions:

There is significant work pace/pressure to deliver product in a timely manner. This position is exposed to dust, dirt, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, cleaning chemicals/solvents and electrical shock.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

Delivery vehicle, smart phone and two-wheeler.

Special Requirements:

Employees must be 18-years of age or older to drive company vehicles and have a valid driver's license with no DOT restrictions. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL – Level C) preferred.

Financial Responsibility:

Responsible for payments received for delivery of products (if applicable).

Has daily contact with center's personnel, customers and the general public.
