The Pennsylvania State University is looking for a highly motivated, strategic minded Business Intelligence Data Modeler/Metadata Developer to join our team. The individual filling this position will play an important role in expanding Penn State's analytical and information capabilities available in support of the University's business processes and will have extensive career progression opportunities. Specific responsibilities include leading data architecture efforts as well as the design, development, and deployment of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) metadata. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The preferred knowledge and skills for this position include: Experience working with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition; Robust knowledge of higher education business processes; Experience developing metadata within the context of a Business Intelligence tool suite; Working knowledge SQL programming. The successful candidate will be able to draw from their previous experience to demonstrate competency in the following required skills: Logical data modeling, logical to physical model rationalization, supporting business requirements analysis, and determining the overall modeling approach to be used; Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into data and application architectures; Multidimensional data modeling; Comprehension of full software development lifecycle (requirements, analysis, design, construction and testing).
