Loads or unloads product from trailers/containers. Transports finished goods between production/Distribution Center locations and loading/unloading areas. Uses scanning equipment to ensure accurate inventory of goods and track productivity.

Essential Functions:

* Perform safety check of powered industrial vehicle prior to operation

* Operate powered industrial vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner

* Pick orders and prepare goods for shipment

* Ensure the completeness and correctness of all orders filled

* Inform supervisor of needed backorders of product, scanning problems or product out of sequence

* Perform a trailer audit (verify trailer number, cleanliness, condition) prior to loading and inform supervisor of any deficiencies

* Use scanning equipment to locate product in Distribution Center and ensure accurate inventory of goods

* Hand-manipulate product from primary location to cart or pallet/plate

* Manipulate product using proper handling SOP

* Manipulate product in a safe manner

* Move materials within Distribution Center

* Ensure accuracy of load by verifying quantity with computer inquiry screens

* Inform supervisor of damaged product

* Participate in team meetings and activities

* Assist with the training of other employees

* Attend all scheduled training sessions

* All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

Necessary Skills and Abilities:

* Basic math skills;

* Read, write, and comprehend basic communications;

* Basic AS400 skills and other platforms as required;

* Knowledge of scanning system;

* Understanding of Distribution Center locations;

* obtain valid, company-issued powered industrial vehicle licenses specific to various areas within the department;

* Self-directed, reliable, and

* Punctual.
