Commercial Loan Operations Support Specialist

Job Summary

Assist the commercial loan operations group in completing loan files; enter correct tracking data onto Horizon core system; provide excellent customer service to customers; perform commercial loan servicing functions to include all aspects of customer service (answering phones, processing payments, payoffs, research, etc); daily, monthly quarterly reports; insurance tracking and real estate tax tracking as well as service and support to other Business Banking staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist processing in completing the post boarding loan account details review, ensuring correctness with all details of the booked loans including coding, collateral and insurance before being sent to imaging

* Work with loan officers and processing to ensure that all items are accurately compiled into the complete loan package before being sent to Imaging

* Ensure that commercial loan files contain proper documentation as required for regulatory and internal compliance

* Ensure all paper and electronic files have been imaged and have been verified as imaged

* Work closely with the loan processing group to ensure complete loan file maintenance to include tracking and monitoring for all related file documentation and that files are completed in a timely manner

* Effectively work monthly officer reports and follow up on title policies, recorded deeds of trust, vehicle titles and any other items requiring attention on these reports

* Correctly process customer payments and/or advance requests, correct payment errors, provide accurate payoff requests, complete telephone transfers, etc.

* Assist servicing in answering customers questions on their accounts in regards to payments as well as other bank personnel this will require a thorough knowledge of our core operating system

* Assist the servicing group working with our 3rd party Insurance vendor to ensure collateral has current insurance coverage, reports are completed, uploads are completed, and set-up force placement of insurance on un-insured loans

* Assist in photocopying tax returns and financial statements and ensure they are sent to Imaging as well as assisting with the imaging of electronic tax returns and financial statements

* Track all flood insurance policies and maintain information on our core system

* Tracking of real estate taxes to include loans tracked by our 3rd party vendor and those tracked manually to ensure all are current and work with the loan officer to track those that are delinquent

* Perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws and regulations applicable to your job function

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist in answering department phones and written inquiries concerning commercial loan processing and information

* Dispersing dispatch, mail and faxes to correct personnel

* Ordering supplies

* Write/review/update procedures

Qualifications Required

(Required education may be satisfied by experience and/or working knowledge)

A High School diploma or equivalent. Intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, & Outlook to include data entry and the ability to construct simple formulas and format spreadsheets.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Sitting for extended periods of time, requires close visual acuity and the ability to work and operate computer applications and equipment including copy machine, telephone, scanner or other basic business equipment. Some infrequent travel is required for branch/department visitations. The job is within the normal office environment range.

Qualifications Preferred

Associates degree and two years of clerical or banking experience. An advanced level knowledge of Word, Excel, & Outlook to include data entry and the ability to construct intermediate-level formulas and format spreadsheets.
