The Child Development Center (CDC) Director is a full-time, 12 month, MPP (Management Personnel Plan) position and reports directly to the Dean of the College of Science as well as the Program Coordinator of the Child Development academic program.

The Director's primary role is to ensure that the operation of the CDC is managed in ways that explicitly support the goals of the Child Development (CDEV) academic program, working closely with CDEV Program Coordinator and CDEV faculty. In addition, the Director of the CDC will manage all operations at the Center including budget, purchasing, enrollment, hiring, and supervision of university employees as well as a large staff of college interns. The Director will maintain high quality preschool, toddler and infant programing guided by the CA Department of Social Services Title 22, NAEYC standards, and evidence-based best practices. Further, the Director will integrate the Center's mission to serve as a model site for the education of university students, children, families, and the community by facilitating high-quality educational practices, research projects and grant applications, in addition to family and community communication and events.
